Seeking a Long-term Solution For Weight control 3
Change your lifestyle to keep weight off.
 Is this day it became clear to you that you can no longer put the idea of losing weight on the back burner. Perhaps you are one of those people who have lost weight only to regain it again. If so, now is the time to seek a long-term solution, Believe me when I say that losing weight and when gaining it back again is a short-term problem, not a long-term solution.
I know this because I was one of those people who lost and regained weight repeatedly until I had dieted so many times that I could no longer lose weight on 700 calories a day. Finally, I tried Adkins and was able to lose weight and keep it off. This is when I really learned about long-term solutions, and became serious about not regaining weight. 

Long -term Solutions
A long-term solution would be modifying your eating habits. Lose the concept of starving for a few weeks, rather cut out or at least limit the three food types responsible for most weight gain, those being fat, sugar and simple carbs. Simple carbs are those yummy cakes, pies, and starchy vegetables, the kind most people consider ‘comfort food’. Losing weight and keeping it off require facing reality, and being honest with your self.
Ask your self if you are willing to make changes in your lifestyle to get the weight off and keep it off. If you read this blog, you know I use the term ‘get the weight off and keep it off’ frequently. And why do I use it so often? Because people tend to lose weight, just to regain it again, only 5%of the population is able to keep the weight off after reaching their weight loss goal.

Quick Fixes
As a hypnotherapist, I believe this because most people want a quick fix, and are unwilling to do the work to turn their lives around. If you are one of those people who have lost and regained weight repeatedly, it is time to admit that you will not keep it off until you decide to make a multipronged approach to weight control. If you are new to dieting, you can save your self a lot of time and energy by taking the time and steps necessary for permanent weight control. 

Eating for Comfort
If you eat for comfort now is the time to address this issue, there are techniques to address this issue. You might try hypnosis and the ‘Emotional freedom Technique’. I have used EFT in conjunction with hypnosis for my clients, it can be a very powerful tool to change life long patterns. If you are looking for a magic bullet to slay the ‘fat monster’ you will be disappointed, there are no magic fixes. Even using hypnosis it takes time to overcome years of bad eating habits and emotional conditioning that drive you to over eat or eat for comfort. That is why a recommend a multipronged approach.
The use of a sensible diet; one that you can use for the rest of your life is needed to control your weight. When I say diet I do not mean starving, you should not be experiencing prolonged periods of hunger.
